I travelled to Pacific Grove to present a poster at ASILOMAR 2025

In October 2025, I traveled to Pacific Grove to present our work, “Wireless Link Scheduling with State-Augmented Graph Neural Networks,” at the Asilomar Conference on Signals, Systems, and Computers. The event took place right in Asilomar State Beach, where the grounds let you take in the coast and nature as you walk between talks and poster sessions—easily one of the most beautiful and peaceful settings for an academic conference.

It was my very first conference as a Ph.D. student, and I was fortunate to meet researchers and fellow students. While I initially struggled to choose between overlapping sessions, I quickly realized how much I enjoyed poster sessions. Having one-on-one conversations with presenters made it much easier for me to follow their explanations. I met many students working on similar topics, and I hope to cross paths with them at future conferences—and maybe even collaborate down the line!

Here are a few highlights from the trip! It started with Lolo and Hamed exploring San Francisco before heading south on a road trip to Pacific Grove. After four days of sessions, we also squeezed in a quick visit to the nearby town of Carmel-by-the-Sea.
